First edition of Chinese Film Festival inaugurated in Chisinau

Chisinau, Dec. 13 /MOLDPRES/- The official inauguration of the first edition of the Chinese Film Festival, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Moldovan-Chinese diplomatic relations, took place yesterday at Cineplex Loteanu in Chisinau.

The festival was organized by Guang Hua Cultures et Media and the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Moldova.

Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Yan Wenbin said that the diplomatic relations between the two countries are always on the rise. "Thus, for 30 years, these relations have experienced a large-scale development in various fields, including the humanitarian and cultural. The Chinese Embassy and I personally will make every effort to organize various cultural events so that our friendly relations are as strong as possible. Cinematography is one of the most important arts that contribute to the achievement of this goal. 10 films, made in recent years, were selected for this festival. We hope that, through these films, the citizens of the Republic of Moldova will get to know China and the Chinese people better", emphasized Ambassador Yan Wenbin.
