Projection stage of Vulcanesti-Chisinau overhead power line under completion

Chisinau, 14 Dec. /MOLDPRES/- The Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development (MIDR) announced today that the technical projection stage of the 400 kV overhead power line, Vulcăneşti-Chisinau is under completion.

According to the institution, the R-30 type pylons, which are to be installed for the construction of the overhead power line, meet the technical requirements and will withstand the weather conditions specific to the Republic of Moldova.

Such tests were also carried out this September, when the resistance of the R-NS type pylon was established - the type of pylon will represent about 80% of the total quantity of pylons to be installed for the construction of the Vulcanesti-Chisinau power line.

The overhead power line will be built from several types of pylons, such as: R-NS, R-30 and R-60 - the last one being expected for type tests in January 2023. "The construction of the overhead power line is to be initiated in the spring of next year", summarizes the quoted source.
