Moldovan foreign affairs minister has meeting with deputy foreign affairs minister of Lithuania

Chisinau, 14 December /MOLDPRES/ - Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Nicu Popescu and Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister of Lithuania Mantas Adomėnas have discussed the implementation of a project on assistance for good governance within the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE), based on a memorandum of understanding on the strengthening of the institutional and good governance capacities. The Lithuanian side will continue providing assistance and expertise in the European integration sector, economic diplomacy and cyber security, MAEIE press service has reported.

The Moldovan official appreciated Lithuania’s assistance provided to Moldova, both in the regional security context and on the European integration way.

„We also exchanged opinions on the present economic situation and the impact of Russia’s unjust war against Ukraine on the entire European continent, as well as subjects concerning the energy security, humanitarian crisis and reforms’ implementation in Moldova,’’ Deputy PM Nicu Popescu said.
