Moldovans holding diplomatic, business passports to be able to travel to Egypt without visas

Chisinau, 15 December /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament today ratified an agreement on mutual exemption from visas for the holders of diplomatic, special and business passports, concluded between the governments of Moldova and Egypt.

Under the document, the Moldovan citizens holding diplomatic or business passports will be able to travel to Egypt without visas. The Egyptian citizens holding the same types of valid passports will benefit from similar facilities. People will be able to stay on the territory of the country concerned in the agreement for a period no longer than 90 days during 180 calendar days.

The agreement’s ratification has the goal to boost the friendship and cooperation relations between Moldova and Egypt in the economic, trade or culture sectors.

Seventy four MPs voted the draft on ratification in two readings.
