Chisinau, 20 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- People who benefit from compensation from the Government for electricity and natural gas will get additional help for paying bills, in case of an increase in the degree of energy vulnerability, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
The additional compensations will be paid retroactively, from the date of registration of the application on www.compensatii.gov.md. The decision was approved at a meeting of the Commission for Emergency Situations, chaired by Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița.
According to the CSE Instruction, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection will transfer 50 million lei in advance, from the energy vulnerability reduction fund to CET-Nord company. The financial means will be used for paying the compensations granted to vulnerable consumers for January - February 2023. CET-Nord will report monthly the compensations granted and will return the remaining balance, if the amount of the advance will exceed the total value of the compensations granted.
Another decision of the CSE aims to cover the costs related to the operation of temporary placement centers for refugees. For this purpose, the Ministry of Finance will allocate financial means of 2159.4 thousand lei from the Government's Intervention Fund to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection.
The CSE members decided to tighten some provisions on issuing visas. Thus, during the state of emergency, the issuance of electronic transit visas, identified by the symbols A and B, was suspended for a number of states. Applications for type B and C visas will be submitted to diplomatic and consular missions by the applicant, based exclusively on a personal interview.
