Moldovan government updates nominal composition of Moldova's Delegation to Joint Control Commission

Chisinau, 25 January /MOLDPRES/ - The government has changed the nominal composition of Moldova’s Delegation to the Joint Control Commission (JCC), in order to consolidate its capacities as regards the multilateral support of the Transnistrian settlement process, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.  

The decision approved at the today’s meeting established the appointment of Alexandru Flenchea as head of the delegation, as well as the appointment of new members and experts put forward by the authorities and institutions with powers in the field. 

Moldova’s Delegations works based on a regulation approved by the government in October 2021 and is meant to continuously monitor the situation in the Security Zone, to intervene in problems dealing with the functioning of the peacekeeping mechanism, ensuring the order and citizens’ safety in this region.
