Chisinau, 27 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- Resolution on honoring of the bonds by the Republic of Moldova in the monitoring process was adopted unanimously and without amendments. The document was adopted during the winter session of the PACE, voted unanimously by MPs present at the plenary meeting at the Palace of Europe in Strasbourg.

In their speeches, MPs from different states appreciated the Moldovan authorities' efforts for the democratic transformation of the country, strengthening human rights, reforming the justice sector, fighting corruption and de-oligarization, as well as their firm determination to follow the European way. Words of gratitude were expressed for the extraordinary contribution to the support of refugees from Ukraine.

Deputy speaker Mihail Popșoi, member of the national delegation to PACE, said that the resolution is the most positive and encouraging in the 27 years since Moldova became a member of the Council of Europe. "The progress of the Republic of Moldova in the field of reforms, despite all the difficulties, is appreciated by the European community. Moldova succeeds!", Mihail Popșoi said. At the same time, in the debates, he reported on the challenges and objectives that lie ahead for our country to irreversibly become part of the free European world, as the people of our country want.

The report was set up by co-rapporteurs Pierre-Alain Fridez (Switzerland) and Inese Lībiņa-Egnere (Latvia) within the Committee for honoring the obligations and commitments of the member states of the Council Europe. This document contains both assessments and recommendations. Among the main conclusions is that the country continued to implement its reform program in cooperation with the Council of Europe. At the same time, it is mentioned the importance of providing financial assistance so that the Republic of Moldova clearly follows the satisfactory implementation of the reforms.
