Anniversary tour of well-known Moldovan composer to take place in north Moldova

Chisinau, 31 January /MOLDPRES/ - More singers and artistic bands will participate in an anniversary tour of composer Constantin Rusnac, who will turn 75 years on 6 February. The tour will take place in four districts from northern Moldova on 6-9 February.   

Contacted by MOLDPRES, the composer’s manager and the project’s author, Vitalie Leonte, has said that the tour’s goal was to promote the works by master Constantin Rusnac.   

Composer, Master in Art, the secretary general of Moldova’s National Commission for UNESCO Constantin Rusnac said the idea of organizing this tour was surprising for him.  

Constantin Rusnac was born in the Trebisauti village, northern Briceni district, in 1948. In 1965, he finished the music school of 11 years (presently the Ciprian Porumbescu music lyceum) and in 1970 - the Gavriil Musicescu Arts Institute. In 1976, Rusnac was awarded the State Prize for the work, Sărbătoreasca, and in 1984 – the title Master of Art.  

Constantin Rusnac made two volumes of Folklore from Moldova and collected more than 2,000 folk music works.
