Moldovan speaker sets priorities of spring session

Chisinau, Feb. 2 /MOLDPRES/- Parliament convened today in first plenary meeting of the spring session of this year. Speaker Igor Grosu delivered a speech pointing out the legislative priorities for the current session.
"This year, we aim to return to economic growth. We will support those who work and contribute to the budget - entrepreneurs, employees, young people and families", he said.
Other priorities set out by the official are: ensuring good conditions for business development in the regions and at the local level, the development of villages and cities in Moldova, fighting corruption, promoting changes in education and health.
"European integration remains a priority of the government. It is our country's project, and here I ask to draw increased attention to the connection of our legislation to the EU acquis, as well as carrying out the plan to speed up the implementation of the commitments arising from the Opinion of the European Commission", Grosu said.
