Moldovan president meets Romania's Ambassador

Chisinau, 2 February /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu has had a meeting with Romania’s Ambassador to Moldova Cristian-Leon Turcanu.
According to the presidential press service, in the context of the war at the border and the energy crisis, President Maia Sandu thanked the Romanian ambassador and the Romanian partners for the consistent support provided to Moldova. An excellent novelty is the testing, on the next period, of the joint border crossing point Leuseni-Albita, in the direction of entering Romania. Also, the first consignment of wood from Romania arrived in Moldova on 1 February; it is about 2,000 steres of wood, which will soon reach citizens.
The head of state also appreciated Bucharest’s support for Moldova’s European integration. Romania has always been with Moldova whenever needed and it remains the principal economic partner of Moldova.
