Moldovan deputy PM has meeting with China's Ambassador

Chisinau, 2 February /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian has had a meeting with Ambassador of China to Moldova Yan Wenbin, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.
The two officials exchanged opinions on the present geopolitical situation in the Black Sea region and the effects of the war in Ukraine on the regional and global security. The sides paid special attention to the Transnistrian file. Deputy PM Serebrian presented the dynamic of the Chisinau-Tiraspol dialogue, measures of support provided by Moldova’s authorities to its citizens from the eastern districts. The Moldovan official highlighted the most topical problems persisting in the process of negotiations. The deputy prime minister for reintegration reiterated Chisinau’s determination to solve the Transnistrian conflict by peaceful means and refuted the alarming messages coming on behalf of Tiraspol in the last time. Serebrian also said that the legal provisions on combating the separatism, adopted by the Moldovan parliament today, would not at all represent an obstacle to the continuation of the dialogue on the settlement of the problem of Moldova’s eastern districts. As for the format of negotiations, Oleg Serebrian reiterated that, during the war in Ukraine, it would remain inoperable.
For his part, Ambassador Yan Wenbin reconfirmed China’s support for the reestablishment of Moldova’s territorial integrity.
