Irina Gotișan-Sotnic appointed as Moldovan president's adviser for public communication

Chisinau, 6 February /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today signed a decree, under which Irina Gotisan-Sotnic will exercise the office of presidential adviser for public communication and spokeswoman for the Moldovan president starting from 7 February, the presidential press service has reported.      

Irina Gotisan-Sotnic graduated from the John McCain Institute (Washington D.C.) and the Journalism School from Moldova. For more years, Gotisan-Sotnic has acted as journalist and correspondent at the Moldova 1 TV station and Radio Free Europe (Prague), where she tackled mainly political issues and provided consultancy in communications for such organizations as United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, UN Development Programme and International Republican Institute. Irina Gotisan-Sotnic also has experience in the management of media projects (Internews Moldova,  Centre for Independent Journalism). Since 1 September 2022, she has been head of the Presidency’s Information and Mass Media Communication Department.
