New finance minister introduced to team

Chisinau, February 17 /MOLDPRES/- New Minister of Finance Veronica Sirețeanu-Vragaleva was introduced today by Prime Minister Dorin Recean to the ministry's team.

The prime minister expressed his confidence that the ministry's team will be efficient and will deepen the collaboration with all other institutions, so that an efficient budget-fiscal policy is promoted.

"Veronica Sirețeanu-Vragaleva is a person with extensive experience in the field. The tasks of the Ministry of Finance are very diverse. Together, I want to build public services as close as possible to citizens. I thank the minister for agreeing to come to this institution and I am sure that she will succeed in making the changes according to society's expectations", Recean said.

At the same time, the prime minister thanked former minister Dumitru Budianschi for the work done during the 18 months he was in charge of the ministry.

Veronica Sirețeanu-Vragaleva is a PhD in economic sciences. She previously worked at the State Fiscal Service and was deputy minister of finance during 2016-2017 and secretary of state at the same ministry from 2017 to 2019.
