Moldovan president nominated European Personality of 2022 at Trombinoscope awards in France

Chisinau, February 17 /MOLDPRES/- President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu was nominated as the European Personality of 2022 by the jury of Trombinoscope, the yearbook of the political world in France, the presidential press service has reported.
The award was presented on February 16 to Moldovan Ambassador to France Corina Călugăru in the presence of the jury and the editor of Trombinoscope, Francois-Xavier d'Aillieres, representatives of the French press, and prominent political figures from Paris, including President of the National Assembly Yaël Braun-Pivet, and Prime Minister of France Elisabeth Borne.
In a video message addressed to those present at the ceremony, the head of state thanked them for appreciating the efforts of the Republic of Moldova to remain part of the free world and advance on our European path.
Trombinoscope Awards are annual awards given to French and European politicians and figures in public life. Since 1992, Trombinoscope has been awarding political figures who have distinguished themselves through political activity and professionalism. Among the winners of the European Personality Award are Angela Merkel (2020), Christine Lagarde and Ursula Von der Leyen (2019), Federica Mogherini (2016) and others.
