Moldovan parliament speaker, European Parliament members discuss reforms' agenda of parliament

Chisinau, 22 February /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu and a group of MPs members of the Committee on International Trade (INTA) and of the Committee on Budgets (BUDG) of the European Parliament today discussed the parliament’s agenda of reforms and the European integration of Moldova, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
The parliament speaker said the authorities’ efforts were focused on the enforcement of those nine recommendations of the European Commission, formulated in the context of the providing of the status of candidate for accession to the European Union. Also, all institutions involved work on those 33 chapters of the EU acquis. ‘’The Moldovan parliament is determined to carry all reforms through, such as the justice reform, fighting corruption, combating fake news, improving the business environment,’’ the parliament speaker said at the discussions.
At the same time, Igor Grosu thanked the European MPs for the unconditional support provided especially in the last two years. The speaker noted that Moldova and its authorities were grateful for the solidarity and concrete support provided to the Moldovans.
