Political parties to present financial reports for 2022

Chisinau, March 6 /MOLDPRES/- The political parties are to present reports on financial management for 2022 by 31 March.
According to the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), reporting can be done both electronically, through the Financial Control SSI and on paper.
At the same time, political parties whose annual revenues or expenses exceed 1 million lei (about 50 thousand euros) are obliged to audit the financial management reports at least once every three years. The audit report, together with the annual report on the financial management of the political party will be sent to the CEC, and if the political party has benefited from allocations from the state budget - to the Court of Accounts.
The CEC warned that political formations that will not present reports on financial management within the established term and format, or will present incomplete data, risk criminal liability.
