Latvian speaker to visit Chisinau

Chisinau, March 20. /MOLDPRES/- Speaker of Latvia Edvards Smiltēns will be on an official visit to Moldova on 21-23 March.

According to the parliament's communication and public relations department, the Latvian official will have meetings with the leadership of the country - President Maia Sandu, Speaker Igor Grosu and Prime Minister Dorin Recean.

The visit's agenda includes discussions with MPs of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Policy and European Integration and those from the Friendship Group with the Republic of Latvia, as well as with Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration.

Also, Grosu and his counterpart Edvards Smiltēns will plant trees in the Alexandru Ciubotaru National Botanical Garden.
