Chisinau, 20 March /MOLDPRES/ - A book titled La Republiquie de Moldova: les enjeux du passe, du present et de l`avenir“ (Republic of Moldova: challenges of the past, present and future) by corresponding member, deputy president of Moldova’s Academy of Sciences (ASM) Victor Moraru was launched at the ASM’s headquarters today. The event was held within the Days of Francophonie in Moldova.

Contacted by MOLDPRES, Victor Moraru said the volume had 200 pages and had been published in French.

According to ASM president Ion Tighineanu, it is important that all divisions of the book – even if they were written on various periods – continue to remain up-to-date. And the reflections of the author – on Moldova’s European vocation, emphasizing of the role of the European value, examination of the migration processes, identification and consideration of the challenges faced by Moldova on its complicated way to the European integration, the Moldova-NATO relations – appear on the book’s pages of the book as judicious and solid.

University professor Victor Moraru is author and co-author of 22 books (monographs and books), editor coordinator of another 22 volumes. He worked as dean of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication Sciences (1992-2004), director of the Mass-Media Institute at the Free International University of Moldova (2004-2010), director of the Institute of European Integration and Political Sciences (2010-2013), academician coordinator of the ASM Social and Economic Section (2013-2018).
