Moldovan deputy PM has meeting with delegation of Poland

Chisinau, 22 March /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian has had a meeting with a delegation of politicians and civil society activists from Poland, organized by the Warsaw Security Forum. The delegation includes also the co-president of the Polish Sejm’s committee on foreign affairs, Paweł Kowal, and the former foreign affairs minister of Poland, Jacek Czaputowicz, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.      

The interlocutors tackled, as a priority, subjects on the regional security situation, in the context of the new challenges triggered by Russia’s war against Ukraine, as well as the efforts made by Moldova’s authorities, jointly with foreign partners, to maintain the stability and security on this dimension.   

Deputy PM Oleg Serebrian reviewed the developments marked in the Transnistrian settlement process. He emphasized, this time again, the need to achieve the goals of the Transnistrian region’s de-militarization and democratization – factors which will boost Moldova’s reintegration process.   

Serebrian reaffirmed Chisinau’s determination to continue the process of peaceful settlement of the Transnistrian conflict, with the unconditional preservation of the strategic goal of European integration.    

The deputy prime minister for reintegration thanked for the support provided and the increased interest in the challenges faced by Moldova, among which the Transnistrian conflict too.     

The delegation of Poland is in Chisinau on 22-23 March and has planned more meetings with representatives of the government and the civil society.
