Moldovan president has meeting with Romanian PM

Chisinau, 23 March /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu had a meeting with Prime Minister of Romania Nicolae Ciuca in Chisinau today. The officials discussed projects on the bilateral agenda and Moldova’s European integration process, the presidential press service has reported.
„We reviewed the progress made in the implementation of the projects underway – construction of the Bumbata-Leova bridge, opening of the Leuseni-Albita coordinated control point, financing of more projects on communities’ development within the European Village programme; we also discussed the preparation of works for initiating, in the near future, of other projects in fields of strategic interest, including the construction of the Overhead Power Line Balti-Suceava, as well as the reconstruction of another three road bridges,’’ the head of state said.
Maia Sandu expressed gratitude for the every support provided by Romania. ‘’I thanked Mrs. Prime Minister for the Romanian government’s initiative, addressed to the European institutions, on the establishment of a regime of sanctions against the individuals who try to destabilize the situation in Moldova. We are also grateful for Bucharest’s support for the organization of the meeting of the European Political Community, which will take place in Moldova in early next June. I received assurances that Romania would remain with us in continuation, for better and for worse,’’ the Moldovan president added.
