Speakers of two Chambers of Romanian Parliament to visit Chisinau next week

Chisinau, March 24 /MOLDPRES/- Speakers of the two Chambers of the Romanian Parliament Marcel Ciolacu - Chamber of Deputies and Alina Gorghiu - Senate will be on a visit to Chisinau on 27 March. Speaker Igor Grosu made the statement today.

In recent days Chisinau has been enjoying special attention from colleagues in Romania. "The series of important visits was opened by Romania's Prime Minister Nicolae Ciucă. I took the opportunity, and I thanked on behalf of the citizens for the unconditional support. Despite all the challenges, and they were not few in the last two years, we managed, thanks to Romania and all Romanians, to get out of this winter. Even if in autumn 2022 we were told that we would be in the dark and in the cold," said Grosu.

The official said that the members of the legal commission of the Chamber of Deputies from Romania are visiting Chisinau this weekend. "I want to announce that in the coming days two other important committees of the Romanian Parliament will arrive: the one for European Integration and the one for parliamentary control over the activity of the Romanian Intelligence Service. On March 27, my Romanian counterparts will come to Chisinau: Alina Gorghiu and Marcel Ciolacu, whom I am looking forward to in order to develop the excellent relations we have established. This series of important meetings concretely demonstrates the support we have in Romania and shows once again that we are not alone in our European path", Grosu said.
