Diesel price to drop below 21 lei per liter

Chisinau, March 28 /MOLDPRES/- Diesel price is reduced below 21 lei per liter, for the first time in the last 13 months. The announcement was made by the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE).

ANRE said that the decision is determined by "the latest developments on the international market and in particular the drop in Platts quotes for diesel". "The same level of the diesel price was last recorded on February 22, 2022, on the eve of the outbreak of the war in Ukraine. Therefore, after a period of 13 months, thanks to the consolidated effort of Western countries, fuel prices have stabilized, partially neutralizing the effects of the war", a press release of ANRE reads.

At the same time, in relation to the petrol price, the recent trend of international quotations shows a slight increase, which is reflected in the price displayed at the pump, which remains at an average level for that period.

Under these conditions, for Wednesday, ANRE set a maximum price for COR 95 petrol of 24.56 lei, increasing by 0.04 lei. At the same time, diesel will be sold for a maximum of 20.96 lei per liter.
