Latvia stays strong supporter of Moldova's European integration

Chisinau, 28 March /MOLDPRES/ - The cooperation in the cyber security sector and combating misinformation have been among the subjects discussed by Prime Minister Dorin Recean and Ambassador of Latvia to Moldova Uldis Mikuts, the government’s communication and protocol department reported.
„It is important that Moldova remains a pole of stability and peace in Eastern Europe. Therefore, we focus our efforts also on enhancing the interoperability with other states in the cyber security sector, digitalization. We rely also on the firm support of Latvia as regards the legislation’s adjusting to the European acquis, the experience in reforming the justice and combating the propaganda,’’ Prime Minister Dorin Recean stressed.
The ambassador of Latvia reconfirmed the support of the Riga government for the carrying out of the projects on the country’s modernization and expressed confidence that the relations between the two countries would be boosted in fields of common interest.
„Latvia stays a strong supporter of Moldova’s European integration. We have so far managed to implement numerous projects jointly and I hope that we will continue deepening and strengthening the bilateral Moldovan-Latvian relations,’’ Ambassador Uldis Mikuts added.
