Moldova's National Army holds exercises with reservists

Chisinau, 15 May /MOLDPRES/ - The National Army on 15-19 May carries out exercises with reservists. In the context, the military hardware is to move to training centres of the National Army and subsequently - to the places of permanent deployment.    

Armoured vehicles of the Fulger special police brigade of the General Police Inspectorate (IGP) will take part in the exercises. In the context, residents are urged not to bother when they notice military vehicles and to abstain from the posting of pictures in the online environment, in order not to trigger speculations.  

According to the head of the Centre of Management of the Mobilization Resources of the National Army’s strength, colonel Octavian Druta, the activity is organized to verify the reservists’ aptitude and familiarize them with the equipment and weaponry of the National Army. The training schedule, which lasts five days, shows that the reservists will study the military regulations and will participate in firing sessions.      

The military centres and the administrative and military centres have earlier sent to the participants the orders on calling to trainings. The exercises of this kind were organized in the previous years too; the most recent ones were held in last April.  

The actions will be carried out on 15-19 May and 22-26 May, in line with the National Army’s training plan for the 2023 year, approved in late 2022 and they are have no connection with the security situation in the region.
