New rules for location of fueling stations

Chisinau, May 19 /MOLDPRES/- The design, location and construction of vehicle fueling stations will be prohibited near green spaces and water areas. The provision is included in a regulation that was published today in the Official Journal.

The document regulates the requirements for the location of fueling stations for motor vehicles with primary petroleum products, liquefied petroleum gas and compressed natural gas.

Following the application of the regulation, the environment and the health of the population will be protected, as the design, location and construction of vehicle fueling stations in the protection zones of water bodies, sources of drinking water supply, spas and sanatoriums will be prohibited, in urban green areas, on the territory of nature reserves and in their protection zones, in the protection zones of historical and cultural monuments, green spaces and in the sanitary protection zones of social institutions.

The construction, reconstruction, technical re-use of vehicle fueling stations is carried out in accordance with urban planning and land development documentation, normative acts and normative technical documents in construction, as well as normative regulations in the field of industrial security and fire protection, with the norms ecological and technical-sanitary.
