Chisinau, May 30. /MOLDPRES/- Students across the country marked today the last day of the 2022-2023 school year. The last bell rang in all the schools, and the students went on vacation.
The festivities dedicated to the last bell started at 08.30. The children from the first grade had the greatest emotions, but also the graduates - the students of the 9th and 12th grades.
On this occasion, Minister of Education and Research Anatolie Topală came with a message for students, teachers and parents. "Dear students, the school year has come to an end and on this occasion I congratulate you on all the knowledge and achievements you have gained together with your colleagues and teachers. I am convinced that everything you have learned this year means a lot for your human and intellectual formation and motivates you to become responsible citizens of the Republic of Moldova, with respect for yourself and others, in line with general human values", said the minister.
The decision to end the school year on May 30 was previously announced by the authorities, in the context of preparations for the European Political Community Summit, which will be hosted by our country on June 1.
Over 1,200 schools are operating in the Republic of Moldova, where about three hundred thousand students study.
