Youth of Gagauzia set up youth center in Dezghingea village

Chisinau, August 11 /MOLDPRES/- Public Association Youth Of Gagauzia set up a youth center in Dezghingea village, as part of EU4Accountability project, financed by the European Union and implemented by People in Need (PIN) Moldova.

The center aims to provide an enabling environment for the holistic development of young people by providing access to a range of educational, recreational and cultural opportunities. It will serve as a space for interactive workshops, vocational training, sporting events and community initiatives to meet the needs and aspirations of young people in the area.

"The involvement of young people is a priority of the European Union. The objectives are to involve, empower and connect young people. Youth is the engine of change and democracy in Moldova and in the world. It is important to involve young people in order to take stock of their knowledge and civic engagement and to design inclusive and objective-oriented social and local development policies", said Jānis Mažeiks, EU Ambassador to Moldova.

Dezghingea mayor Vasilii Capsamun expressed appreciation for the active young people who are involved and work together with local NGOs on future projects that contribute to the development of the village and the well-being of the entire community.

PIN Moldova Country Director Guillermo Llinás said that the inauguration of the youth center marks the beginning of a new stage of collaboration, which is proof of the potential that can be unlocked when civil society and APL work hand in hand to improve communities.

Dezghingea youth center was set up at the initiative of Public Association Youth Of Gagauzia, thanks to a grant from the EU as part of the EU4Accountability program.
