Over 51,500 slate sheets delivered to bad weather-affected localities

Chisinau, August 14 /MOLDPRES/- A number of 51514 slate sheets and about 40 m3 of timber were delivered by the employees of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) to the localities affected by the bad weather of last month.

According to IGSU, the construction materials were released by the Material Reserves Agency under the Ministry of Interior. The material goods were delivered to localities in Edineț, Râșcani, Dondușeni, Drochia, Hâncești and Soroca districts, starting on July 28.

Up to the present time, the entire amount of timber of 39.7 m3, allocated by the Government, has been distributed to the districts. Since the beginning of the process of transporting construction materials, 51,514 slate sheets were delivered to people's homes, whose homes were destroyed by the weather, and in the management of local public authorities to repair public buildings.

During the following days, the rescuers, firefighters, policemen and employees of the Ministry of Defense will transport to Edineț and Hâncești districts another 13163 slate sheets from the total amount initially allocated.
