Chisinau, August 14 /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Dorin Recean was dissatisfied with the judicial situation and in particular, with the cases where drivers who commit serious accidents are punished too lightly. The official requested an analysis of the serious road accidents of the past five years and the judges who investigated these cases. The statements were made at today's cabinet meeting.
"We will continue to push for this reform and cleaning up the system. Now the pre-vetting will continue and the Anti-corruption Court will operate. I see the frustrations, I have heard some lamentations, but I want to convey to this corrupt minority that you cannot claim independence if you have no legitimacy and you are out of legitimacy. I want to give you examples that affect specific people, when the police investigate the same people driving drunk several times that over a certain period of time, these people commit accidents in which other people die. I want to see what was behind the decisions of these judges that justified the release of these people. That's why I ask Minister Adrian Efros for the last five years to have an analysis of all road accidents that ended in deaths and serious situations, to see what are the antecedents of these drivers and who are the judges who ruled out these cases. We will start from here", said Dorin Recean.
Recently, there was a road accident in the capital, resulting in death, which was caused by a driver previously investigated for drunk driving.
