European Village: Ciuciuleni village supplied with water and sewage infrastructure

Chisinau, Oct. 19 /MOLDPRES/- As part of the European Village Program, water supply and sanitation works were completed in Ciuciuleni village, Hâncești district. The works cost 6.6 million lei (340 thousand euros), of which 4.2 million lei were allocated by the Moldovan government.

According to the National Office for Regional and Local Development (ONDRL), over 150 households with about 1300 consumers and several economic agents will benefit from access to drinking water.

The project also involved the construction of an artesian well, a water tower and a wastewater treatment plant, as well as connecting the village kindergarten to the sewage system.

"We are proud to have made a significant impact in the lives of Ciuciuleni residents, providing them with a source of safe drinking water and modernizing the sewerage infrastructure," ONDRL director Mihail Croitoru said.

The European Village Program includes a total of 497 projects, of which 228 have been completed to date. Ciuciuleni project is the 53rd completed project in the water and sanitation.
