Chisinau, Oct. 20 /MOLDPRES/- After eight hours of debates, the censure motion on the government's activity, submitted by the Communists and Socialists Bloc faction was rejected.

Prime Minister Dorin Recean came up with a report to the deputies accompanied by the entire Cabinet of Ministers.

"The whole Government is here with me, because the communist and socialist deputies do not agree with the recovery measures, with the salary increases and with the projects that we are implementing throughout the country in roads, agriculture, development of villages. I don't know if this is a censure motion or rather, I think, the need for an electoral show. I see there are elections, but I want to tell you that the country does not stop. The government continues to work, it does not stop the activities", said Recean.

The Prime Minister reviewed all the actions taken by the Government recently. "Yes, we ended up with a weak economy and painfully affected by the sudden increase in the prices of gas and food products. Dear BCS deputies, you are silent about the reasons for this crisis. You pretend that war does not exist, that it has no importance or influence. In the censure motion, I noticed that two references are missing, which are constantly invoked by citizens. It is about war and its impact, Russia's war against Ukraine and the lack of justice, corruption. I rightly suppose that this suits you: both the lack of justice and the war. Otherwise you would be outraged by the crimes committed by Russia in Ukraine due to the Kremlin blackmailing our citizens with gas. You pretend that the war does not exist, that the logistics chains were not interrupted and it did not lead to the increase in the price of transport and in general to the increase in the price of trade. Despite these problems, the EU has become the most important commercial partner of the Republic of Moldova. How many markets have you managed to open? I urge the socialist deputies to go to Moscow less often and more often to the villages of Moldova", he said.

The ministers also came up with details about the Government's priorities. Their reports lasted over four hours and will be published in full on the ministries' websites.

The opposition criticized the reports of the Cabinet of Ministers and announced that it will go to the Constitutional Court on October 20.

BCS deputy Vlad Batrîncea said that the Government "did not respond to the issues in the text of the censure motion" and thus violated the law.

According to the Parliament's Regulation, the censure motion on the Government's activity is subject to debate on the first day of the plenary session of the week following the date of submission and is adopted by the vote of the majority deputies.
