Moldovan president congratulated medalists of European Judo Championships

Chisinau, Nov. 8 /MOLDPRES/- President Maia Sandu congratulated the Moldovan athletes who ranked first and third at the European Judo Championships, the presidential press service has reported.

"We are happy for the brilliant performance of the national team of the Republic of Moldova at the European Judo Championships in France. Denis Vieru won the gold medal, and Petru Pelivan won the bronze medal", said Maia Sandu.

The head of state expressed admiration for the effort of the two judokas. "Congratulations, Denis and Petru! You are inspirational role models for all young people and budding athletes, showing them that with passion, discipline and hard work, dreams can be achieved. We are proud of you. We wish you continued success!” said the president.
