European Village: Dămășcani residents have access to water network

Chisinau, Nov. 9 /MOLDPRES/- Residents of the village of Dămășcani, Râșcani district will have access to the water network, after about six km of water supply networks were built in the locality, along with a water tower and a water treatment station. The works were carried out as part of the European Village Program, the Government earmarked about 8 million lei (400 thousand euros) from the National Fund for Regional and Local Development.

As a result of the implementation of the project, about 160 households, three public institutions and several economic agents in the locality now have access to quality drinking water facilities.

According to the National Office for Regional and Local Development, another 53 similar projects, included in the European Village Program, have already been completed in different localities of the country.

Eight local development projects were approved in Râșcani district, six of which were successfully completed.
