New measures to optimize work of National Road Transport Agency approved by government

Chisinau, Nov. 22 /MOLDPRES/- The structure of the National Road Transport Agency (ANTA) will be optimized, and the institution will carry out its activity based on the amended Regulation. Cabinet approved today, at the initiative of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development, amendments to several normative acts, which aim to streamline ANTA's activity and increase the quality of control activities, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

The amendments concern in particular the subdivision with supervisory and control functions. The document sees the creation of three new departments - Directorate for supervision and control of road transport operations, Directorate for supervision and control of related activities and compliance and Directorate of consumer support and protection.

The subdivision responsible for identifying, preventing and countering threats, vulnerabilities and risks that could compromise ANTA's activity will be strengthened.
