Allocations to be provided to disabled children without submission of application in Moldova

Chisinau, 21 December /MOLDPRES/ - The social benefits for children with disabilities will be provided automatically, without the need to submit an application beforehand. The same mechanism will be also in the case of the social benefits provided to the families with children. The MPs adopted a draft law to this effect in the second reading today.   

The benefits will be established automatically by the National Social Insurances House (CNAS), based on the information available in the national information systems. Thus, the compulsoriness of submitting the application and of the confirmatory documents for benefiting from these social benefits will be excluded.  

Nevertheless, if the child is represented by another person but his/her mother, it will be necessary that the person who represents him/her (father, tutor, trustee) submits the application. The same facilities will be valid also for providing the one-off childbirth allowance and allowance for bringing up the child.    

According to statistics data, in 2024, the following people will benefit from these facilities: 33,115 mothers, who will receive one-off child-birth allowance, as well as 114,346 children, who will benefit from monthly allowances till the age of 2 or 3 years.
