Mihail Popșoi, Cristina Gherasimov to be sworn in next week

Chisinau, 24 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- Mihail Popșoi and Cristina Gherasimov will be sworn in next week. Government spokesperson Daniel Vodă made the statement, after the cabinet meeting.

"Nicu Popescu will serve as Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration until January 29. Later, the post will be taken over, after taking the oath next week, by Mihail Popșoi, who is currently deputy speaker. Cristina Gherasimov will be appointed as Minister for European Affairs. It is about the establishment of a new position of minister without portfolio, and after taking the oath, the minister will head the Office for European Integration, recently set up. For example: in the Government there is also Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian, who heads the Office for Reintegration. Cristina Gherasimov will lead the Office for European Integration, and Popșoi will lead the Ministry of Foreign Affairs", Daniel Vodă said.

The changes were announced after Nicu Popescu said he is submitting mandate as Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration.
