MPs from Moldova, Romania, Ukraine sign resolution on support of European integration way

Chisinau, 26 January /MOLDPRES/ - A resolution which confirms the firm support for the European integration way of Moldova and Ukraine today was adopted at a joint meeting of the juridical commissions of the parliaments of Moldova, Romania and Ukraine.  

The resolution was signed by the leadership of the juridical commission for appointments and immunities of Moldova’s parliament, the juridical commission for appointments, discipline, immunities and validations of Romania’s Senate and of the Committee on Legal Policy of the Verkhovna Rada (parliament) of Ukraine.   

The document stipulates that the Romanian Senate confirms the support provided to Moldova and Ukraine on the European integration way. The juridical commission for appointments, discipline, immunities and validations reiterated its willingness to provide support in the process of carrying out of the reforms, in the context of the accession to EU. ‘’The institutional policy of the Romanian state is aimed at providing every support, at all levels, for the facilitation of the European integration way, in the spirit of the democratic values,’’ the Resolution reads.     

At the same time, the signatory sides condemned Russia’s armed aggression in Ukraine and stressed the need of calling to account those who are guilty of the offence of aggression and compensating the damaged caused by Russia.   

The joint commission of the juridical commissions from the parliaments of Moldova, Romania and Ukraine is held on 24-28 January.
