Anniversary exhibition dedicated to Moldovan poet inaugurated at National Library
Chisinau, 24 October /MOLDPRES/ - An exhibition titled, I was able to make a holiday out of my life, occasioned by the 75th birthday anniversary of poet, journalist, manager and producer of national cultural events, Merited Woman of Moldova Renata Verejanu, was inaugurated at the National Library (BNRM) today.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, BNRM director Elena Pintilei said the goal of the exhibition was to familiarize visitors with documents of the Library’s collection, which represent important moments of the life and work of the poet, assessments and references signed by famous personalities about the talent and work of the protagonist, who, through her contribution in reflecting the social and cultural life, had contributed to the promotion of love and pride for Moldova.
Renata Verejanu was born in the Verejeni village, northern Ocnita district, on 22 October 1947. She graduated from the Poly-technical Institute, (Presently Technical University of Moldova, 1970), the M. Gorki Literature Institute from Moscow (1980) and took her degree of PhD at the Bucharest University (2002). Verejanu debuted with her first volume of poems in Moscow in 1979. She founded more NGOs for the boosting of the work of the civil society from Moldova. Renata Verejanu is member of the Moldovan Writers’ Union (1990), president of the International Union of Creative People (as of 2017). Under presidential decree, Verejanu was awarded the honorific title of Merited Woman of Moldova.
The exhibition will be open till 24 November.
