Exhibition inaugurated in Moldovan capital
Chisinau, 11 October /MOLDPRES/ - An exhibition titled, The Dniestrians, has been recently inaugurated at the House of Provincial Country Council from Chisinau. The exhibition is a consequence of a research expedition by bicycle , organized along the Dniester river on 7-18 August this year, within the Edu-Art 2021 project titled, Strengthening the relation between artistic communities.
According to the organizers, the goal of the exhibition was to research, observe and document the cultural, ecological and demographic transformations in the Dniester river basin. The participants’ interest went to the monumental art works and other heritage pieces met during the travel (sculptures and mosaics met along the road), ecological situation in the region. In particular, the participants were concerned about the quality and access to drinking water as a common asset, fate of the settlements abandoned during residents’ massive migration to look for jobs and other subjects specific to the transition to a new social system.
The exhibition puts emphasis on bicycle as alternative transport means to the motor transport units, which is non-pollutant and friendly to the environment, as well as means of artistic research, which allows and provides a special perspective on the realities around.
Visitors are expected to come to the House of the Provincial Country Council on 12-13 October during 17:00-20:00.
This event is part of the public programme of the Edu-Art 2021 project, Strengthening the relation between artistic communities, which is organized and is held in alternative cultural areas from the cities of Rabnita, Dubasari and Chisinau.
