
Well-known folk, light music singer of Moldova says 2020 year changed people's lifestyle
Chisinau, 3 January /MOLDPRES/ -A well-known folk and light music singer, People’s Artist, holder of the Order of the Republic, Zinaida Julea, has said that 2020 had been a year when most people in the world had to change their lifestyle.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, Zinaida Julea said that, before the pandemic, she had been travelling to various regions of the world, singing in more countries, as well as here in Moldova.
”Since the beginning of the pandemic, I have stayed at home and sometimes, I was walking nearby the home. At the end of the year, I launched a song with the Orchestra of the brothers Vasile and Vitalie Advahov – Happy New Year! I read a lot and kept in touch with dear people by phone. I have a single wish – all us to be healthy and to hear good news about each other,’’ the well-known singer said.
Zinaida Julea was born in the Harbovat village, eastern Anenni Noi district, on 2 December 1951. She studied at the Stefan Neaga secondary music school (1973-77) and the Chisinau-based Arts Institute (1988-1993). At the age of 17, Julea was invited by master Serghei Lunchevici as soloist to the Fluieras folk music orchestra of the National Philharmonic from Chisinau, where she worked till 1991. Julea made more tours abroad and sang on almost all continents with this band. Presently, Zinaida Julea is soloist of the Chisinau Municipal Orchestra of the Advahov brothers.
In 1976, she was awarded the honorific title of Merited Artist and in 1985 – People’s Artist. In 1993, Zinaida Julea was awarded the Civic Merit medal and in 1997 – the Order of the Republic.
