As much as 1.7 billion lei to be invested in modernization of national public roads in Moldova in 2025
An amount of 1.7 billion lei will this year be invested in the modernization of national public roads, in order to improve traffic conditions and ensure road safety. The government today approved the programme on the allocation of Road Fund resources for national public roads in 2025.
The money is allocated for periodic maintenance works on national public roads, both in summer and winter, as well as for current repairs on roads and engineering constructions, including for the improvement of regional public roads.
“The programme includes maintenance and repair works of national public roads with a total length of 5,993 km, for which financial resources from the road fund in the amount of about 1.7 billion lei are planned,” said Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Vladimir Bolea at the government meeting.
At the same time, capital repairs for 14 national public roads and the modernization of six bridges are scheduled.
“Investments in the proper repair and maintenance of road infrastructure will improve transport conditions, accessibility and safety on national public roads, contributing to the cutting of logistical costs for the private sector, as well as to improving the citizens’ quality of life,” Vladimir Bolea added.
