Moldovan MPs make amendments to normative framework on energy infrastructure
Chisinau, 5 October /MOLDPRES/ - The normative framework for the facilitation of the development of energy infrastructure projects, with cross-border impact, was voted by the parliament in the second reading today.
The document sees the approximation of the national legislation to the European Union’s legislation. The draft regulates the aspects dealing with the mechanism of energy governance and the climate changes, as well as the facilitation of the development of energy infrastructure projects. The regulations and mechanisms proposed will contribute to the implementation of the projects of common interest within the Energy Community and of the projects of mutual interest. At the same time, the legislation will be completed with provisions which establish the way the process of authorization of Energy Community’s projects is organized, describe the stages of the process of authorization, the authorities involved and the management of the costs of investments for projects’ implementation.
The legislative initiative also sees the inclusion of the villages Lipoveni and Topala from the southern Cimislia district in the list of settlements where of public utility works of national interest will be carried out for the construction of the Overhead Power Line of 400 kV of transport of electric energy Vulcanesti-Chisinau and the Vulcanesti Back-to-Back station.
