Platform on procedure of paying subsidies to stimulate farmers launched in Moldova
Chisinau, 28 July /MOLDPRES/ - The potential solutions in the procedure of payment of subsidies for stimulating the crediting of farmers on 27 July were considered at the Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment Ministry (MADRM), which organized a working meeting with representatives of commercial banks and non-bank crediting organizations.
„The commercial banks are the entities which provide substantial support to farmers in their daily work. Through the policies elaborated in the agro-industrial sector, MADRM backs agricultural producers, including on the segment of stimulating the crediting of agricultural producers by commercial banks and non-banking crediting organizations, through providing subsidies,’’ competent minister Ion Perju said.
According to the official, through an efficient communication and cooperation, as well as by ensuring farmers’ access to financial resources, decision-makers can contribute to the enhancement of the Moldovan agriculture’s productivity and competitiveness. ‘’In these discussions, we are set formulate concrete proposals on the working out of the mechanism on the enforcement of the provisions of law on the principles of subsidization in the development of agriculture and rural environment, it was completed with a new paragraph,’’ Perju noted.
In the context, the new conditions of regulation as to the subsidization of loans provided to farmers impose that the financial means are transferred to banks or non-bank crediting organizations, without the farmers take out the money from circulation for paying the rates and submit the files to the Agency of Intervention and Payments for Agriculture (AIPA).
The ministry stressed that the government would be informed about the decisions formulated at the meeting.
