Rehabilitation of road segments on Corridor 10 to start in Moldova in next spring
Chisinau, 10 February /MOLDPRES/ - The leadership of the State Administration of Roads (ASD) today discussed with representatives of a company from Turkey the mobilization of the entrepreneur and the action plan for starting the works on improving three road segments with a total length of 36.5 km – part of the Corridor 10.
At present, maintenance works outs are carried out on the segments which transit the settlements Chistelnita, Scorteni, Telenesti district, and Meseni, Ignatei, Peciste, Pripiceni-Razesti, Pripiceni-Curchi, Trifesti, Rezina district, with the traffic being ensured in winter conditions.
"The works which ensure the connection between the national roads R6 and R20 will start in next spring. We continuously monitor the actions undertaken by the entrepreneur for a qualitative fulfillment of the works on improving the Corridor 10, in line with the norms and standards in force,’’ the ASD acting director general, Veaceslav Potop, said.
The contract with the Turkish company was signed in early last September, with a period of full carrying out of the works till late March 2022. The project has a value of about 364 million lei, allocated from a loan provided by the World Bank.
