Chisinau city hall accommodated Ukrainian refugees at MoldExpo Center
Chisinau, Feb. 25 / MOLDPRES /- Last night, the Chisinau City Hall accommodated several Ukrainians at the MoldExpo Center.
Mayor Ion Ceban announced that the local authorities have accommodated 65 refugees from Ukraine at the MoldExpo Center.
According to Ceban, an operative meeting took place last night between the representatives of the municipality and the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, during which a plan of measures was established to ensure the accommodation and food of the refugees.
The mayor of the capital mentioned that 38 people are currently being accommodated at the Accommodation Center for Asylum Seekers and Refugees and that more refugees are coming to the capital from the Palanca border crossing, and their asylum applications are being examined by Office of Migration and Asylum of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Earlier, Chisinau City Hall announced that it had identified 8682 accommodation places, of which 4467 with immediate accommodation.
