
Coach on Chisinau-Moscow route get involved in accident in Kiev
Chisinau, 25 August /MOLDPRES/ - A coach moving on the Chisinau-Moscow route overturned on a street in Kiev on the night of 25 August. According to the mass media from Ukraine, 18 people were injured. The coach driver would have lost control of the wheel and afterwards the coach overturned laterally, the Unian Agency reports, cited by MOLDPRES.
„At night, the driver of a Setra (MXG340) coach, with the index of the Chisinau-Moscow route, lost control of the vehicle, entered into a kerbstone and overturned laterally,’’ the Ukrainian authorities said.
Eighteen people appealed to doctor in the wake of the accident, of whom 8 were hospitalized.
Moldova’s National Motor Transport Agency (ANTA) took note based on the information which appeared in media on this accident.
“Under the provisions of the law on the state control over the entrepreneurial activity, at the headquarters of the road transport operator which manages the concerned route, the Agency will initiate actions of verification and unforeseen control in the road transport sector and observance of the legal provisions regarding the occupational health and safety in the road transport field,’’ ANTA said.
According to the institution, if infringements of the legislation are detected in the transports sector, the operator will be sanctioned contraventionally.photo: media sources
