New EcoVoucher Program session: Around 3,000 families to be able to purchase energy-efficient appliances
Another approximately 3,000 families will be able to purchase new and energy-efficient appliances within a new session of the EcoVoucher Program, launched today and running until November 22.
Through the program, beneficiaries receive vouchers worth 7,000 lei, which can be used to purchase refrigerators and washing machines. The voucher covers up to 70% of the appliance’s price, including VAT.
The budget for the new session amounts to approximately 21 million lei and comes from unused funds from the October 13–November 1, 2026 session. These funds are part of the total budget of 57 million lei allocated from the state budget for the current edition of the EcoVoucher Program.
The vouchers are allocated automatically, based on eligibility criteria and the data registered on the compensatii.gov.md platform. Data from the National Center for Sustainable Energy (CNED) shows that during this session, 595 vouchers were allocated to households with at least two people over the age of 63, 2,067 to families with minor children, and 298 to people with severe disabilities.
The program allows beneficiaries to purchase refrigerators, including models with integrated freezers, in energy classes A, B, C, and D, as well as class A washing machines.
The Appliance Voucher Program (EcoVoucher) was developed by the Government of the Republic of Moldova with financial support from the European Union and is implemented by the National Center for Sustainable Energy in cooperation with the Ministry of Energy. The current edition of the Program is financed from the state budget.
