Two aerostat-type objects illegally entered the national airspace. They were detected by the national integrated monitoring system.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the first case was recorded today at 09:15, when an aerostat flew over the national airspace in the vicinity of Moșeni village, Drochia district, leaving it at 09:22 near Elizavetovca village, in the same district.
The second case was reported at 10:35, when another balloon illegally crossed the state border from the direction of Vinița, Ukraine, toward Trifăuți village, Soroca district. Subsequently, at 10:36, it left the airspace near Ruslanovca village, in the same district.
The Air Operations Center continues to monitor the airspace in coordination with the competent authorities and partners.
Since the beginning of 2026, approximately 70 incidents involving violations of the airspace of the Republic of Moldova have been recorded. Since 2022, the total number of recorded incidents has exceeded 100.
