Two days left to pay first real estate tax rate

Chisinau, 13 August /MOLDPRES/- The State Tax Service (SFS) warns that two days remained before the deadline provided by law, the taxpayers can pay the first instalment of real estate and land tax for 2018.

SFS also notes that if the respective taxes are not paid within the prescribed time limit, the increase will be applied for each day of delay. These provisions do not extend to people who paid full tax until 2 July 2018.

About 70 percent of taxpayers paid real estate tax by July 2, benefitting from a 15% discount. SFS accumulated 338.7 million lei in the National Public Budget from real estate tax, exceeding the accumulations of the similar period of the previous year by 23.2 million lei or by 7.4 percent.

Taxpayers who did not take advantage of the 15% discount right are to pay the real estate tax and / or land tax in equal parts no later than 15 August and 15 October this year. Payment delays are penalized by 0.0329% of the amount of tax on unpaid real estate for each day of delay.
