ANRE: Over last two months, fuel prices dropped by more than 3 lei

Chisinau, Nov. 24 /MOLDPRES/- The National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) announced today that starting from the second half of September, maximum fuel prices have decreased by 3.30 lei/liter for petrol and by 3.12 lei/liter for diesel.

This significant decrease is due to the drop in Platts quotes on international exchanges, as well as a moderate appreciation of the national currency in relation to the US dollar, ANRE said.

Therefore, if two months ago, COR 95 petrol could be sold at a price of 26.89 lei/liter, and standard diesel at a price of 24.81 lei/liter, for the next three days their selling price set by to ANRE will not exceed the level of 23.59 lei/liter - for COR 95 petrol and 21.69 lei/liter - for standard diesel.
